Cool idea for Publishers. Adsense Search with Google Toolbar

Adsense has several products under their belts and some are clearly more popular than others. The publisher has been talking about AdSense and compare products such as referrals and contextual advertising in popular forums like Digital Point. Apparently referring to the products and even Google search does not seem as popular as contextual ads. Why?

The publisher only benefit from contextual advertising when visitors click on ads on the website. In many cases, in order to ensure that the ads are optimized to blend in well with the look and feel of Web pages. When done correctly, the ads look like relevant links on the website and if visitors are interested in what is advertised, they will click on ads. Contextual ads simple to implement and ad will appear on the site within a few minutes to copy and paste the simple Javascript code.

However, not easy to produce the same amount of revenue through other AdSense products, such as Google search and referrals. Just as contextual advertising, involving the implementation of a Google search, copy and paste some codes. But not like contextual ads, publishers do not benefit from query
done. Each search returns relevant set of results, and if there are ads for these keywords, they will appear as a sponsored result at the top of the page. The publisher only get when the visitor clicks on one of the sponsored ads. So let’s recap. Visitors should enter some keywords, click the Submit Search button, wait for the results of the load, and if he clicks on an ad, publishers earn some money. Compare with contextual advertising, where visitors only need to make a single click, and the money credited to the publisher’s account.

This is even harder to convert visitors into revenue through the AdSense referral product, although each conversion generally pay more. For example, while the publisher to Google AdSense program, and if the publisher gives $ 100 within 180 days, with $ 100 will be credited to the publisher who sent the referral. This means that visitors should visit a site that had somehow found the AdSense referral button, click it, you can read more about the program, sign up and wait for approval. After acceptance the publisher will need to implement the product and get $ 100 within 180 days. If not, who sent
AdSense program does not reference anything.

Here is another example. AdSense program will pay a referral fee if a visitor clicks on a button or link, download and install the Firefox browser. Jobs publishers will try to convince visitors that Firefox is good for him, and send visitors to the download page. If visitors to download files and install the browser 5.33MB, publishers will have up to one dollar. Needless to say, is much more difficult to accept publishers dollars, compared with contextual advertising.

So where is the publisher? The publisher hopes to promote the Firefox browser, but what if they do not have software / webmaster-related sites that convert well? So let’s say a publisher has a website on dogs. He or she can put a link on your website, says “We suggest to find out more on dogs using the Google Toolbar”. The publisher does not pay to download, but when the installer to use the toolbar to search and click on the ads, your account will be credited with money. The concept behind it is similar to Google search, just to be on the toolbar. Google can come up with a web based control panel (perhaps in your AdSense login) for publishers to generate downloads. In existing markets web-based dashboard tool that allows users to customize and create a brandable toolbar for download. Therefore, this idea certainly be an option for publishers and will be a dream for many!

But there are still some annoying problems. Implementation of a product would mean that Google will have to share search revenues with publishers. Of the reported 1098 billion U.S. dollars U.S. dollars generated from Google’s site in the last quarter of 2005, how much is Google willing to share?
